Did you know that in Kentucky if you do not ask for expungement, the arrest, charge, or conviction will stay on your criminal history? This means that any time your background is run, the conviction will show up. This can hurt job opportunities, school, educational opportunities, and even some government assistance programs. An Expungement gives you a clean slate!

PLEASE NOTE: An application cannot be filed sooner than (5) years after the completion of the person's sentence or (5) years after the successful completion of the person's probation or parole, whichever occurs later.

How much does it cost to start the expungement process with Access Justice?

Access Justice is proud to offer licensed attorneys to assist you in filing the expungement process at no cost to you!

Can Access Justice assist with expungement of criminal records in any state?

At this time, Access Justice can only assist expunging records in Kentucky. If you would like help finding expungement help in another state, please email us at info@accessjc.org and we will assist you.

What if I have already requested an expungement eligibility certificate?

If you have and still have a copy of the certificate, please bring it with you to your appointment. If you have not previously requested a certificate or if it is expired, it is not an issue Access Justice can help you request one.

Can I still proceed if I have already filed an expungement in Kentucky before?

If you have filed for expungement before, it will not be a barrier to Access Justice providing you with further help.
